The PFS-A is a portable instrument designed for sampling and flow measuring of pulverized coal in the fuel pipes between mills and burners, according to ISO 9931.
The sampler is introduced into the fuel pipe through an airlock (Dustless
Connection), and the coal sample is collected in an exchangable container
attached to the sampler. The
sampling probe is connected to an electric motor which enables it to
rotate. A PLC in the control box ensures isokinetic extraction, and
calculates the coal flow in the pipe.
The PFS-A is operated by only one person.
Application areas:
- Extracting isokinetic and representative samples for determining of particle size of coal and other parameters.
- Routine and special measurements of coal flow in fuel pipes.
